Appointments
Psychiatric Evaluation
During the initial evaluation, important information is gathered to make a proper diagnosis, develop a treatment plan, and establish a positive therapeutic relationship.
At the end of the initial visit, a decision on whether to establish a physician-patient relationship will be made, labs may be ordered, consultations with other treatment providers may be made, and medication may be started.
Please prepare for visit by filling out forms and arriving on time to appointment. Please bring government issued ID, bottles of currently prescribed and over the counter medications and supplements, list of past medications and allergies, and recent lab work. Patients may bring one significant other to visit, if needed.

Follow Up Appointments
Follow up appointments focus on changes that have occurred between visits, reviewing lab work and consults, medication management, treatment response, and ensuring treatment goals are being met.
20 minute appointments are appropriate after initial psychiatric assessment for medication changes, medication monitoring, worsening of symptoms, review labs, supportive psychotherapy, prior authorizations, letter or form requests, and family meetings.
15 minute appointments are available for patients that are stable on buprenorphine therapy.
Note that Élan Psychiatry does not accept any health insurance. You may request statement of service that you can send your insurance for possible reimbursement.
Payment is due at time of appointment. Major credit card, cash, and Venmo are accepted.
